Ezenics (Formerly Sensus MI) Partners With European Specialists for CASCADE
Ezenics (formerly known as Sensus MI) has recently partnered with a number of Europe-wide energy specialists within the CASCADE project for energy efficient airports.
CASCADE, led by the prestigious Fraunhofer Institute, Europe’s largest application-oriented research organization, is deploying a number of technology-based solutions for airports to reduce energy use in systems such as refrigeration, lighting, under-floor heating, HVAC, etc. The project will include the identification of low and no-cost energy saving opportunities.
Ezenics will leverage its industry experience, engineering expertise, and Optimized Operational Readiness™ technology platform as a measurement-based, technology neutral, analytics approach for the development of facility optimization solutions that can integrate with existing Building Automation Systems. The objective of the Ezenics powered CASCADE solution, is to radically reduce energy consumption (20%) and CO2 emissions (20%) of EU-27 Airports.
The CASCADE business case study will be delivered at this year’s Connectivity Week Conference held in Santa Clara, CA May 22-24 by Senor Poli (title) for Rome, Italy’s Leonardo Di Vinci airport, which is Europe’s sixth largest, with over 40 million passengers travelling through per year. “The (group he’s identifying himself with) is very excited about partnering with Ezenics. We feel they provide the most reliable and complete facility optimization solution for us to achieve our aggressive objectives,” says Senor Poli.
“The opportunity for Ezenics to achieve Optimized Operational Readiness™ with the CASCADE initiative illustrates how extensible our technology is for the enterprise adding value in diverse facilities. We are proud to have the opportunity to collaborate with the Cascade partners on this exciting initiative.” says Brian Thompson, CEO of Ezenics.
